2012 NFL Draft: St. Louis Rams take a risk, select Janoris Jenkins in Round 2

How far will Janoris Jenkins fall? That was one of the big questions entering the 2012 NFL Draft. Despite his top ten talent, Jenkins has some major red flags, including multiple arrests for marijuana and a dismissal from the Florida football program.

But that didn't stop the St. Louis Rams from taking a shot at him in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft.

Standing at 5-feet-9-inches tall, Janoris Jenkins isn't going to blow you away with his size. He is lanky and doesn't have a ton of meat on his bones.

But don't let that fool you. Janoris Jenkins is an animal in press coverage. Throughout his collegiate career at Florida, Jenkins showed versatility and instincts that most players would kill for. Even at his size, Jenkins is comfortable playing close to the line of scrimmage, which is an impressive trait for a corner to have.

Jeff Fischer is the type of coach that might be able to reel Jenkins in, but whenever a guy comes with the type of baggage that this talented corner does, the team is taking a big risk. TIme will tell how it well pay off.
