Illinois Derby 2012 Odds: Currency Swap Favored To Win

The 55th edition of the Illinois Derby will feature the largest field in the event's history, with a field of 14 three-year-olds competing in the $500,000, 1 1/8-mile stakes at Hawthorne Race Course. The 14 entries will be joined by three additional eligible horses to bring the total to 17.

Currency Swap is in the fourth position and at 4-1, is the favorite to win on Saturday.

Horse Racing Nation notes that Currency Swap's lone loss was to Gemologist, who is favored to win the Wood Memorial.
