One day.
Or not even one day; that’s how long Andres Torres managed to play for the Mets before landing on their disabled list. He strained his left calf running for a fly ball and will be placed on the DL. From the Associated Press :
Before tomorrow’s game the @Mets will place OF Andres Torres on the 15-Day DL & recall OF Kirk Nieuwenhuis. Nieuwenhuis will wear #9.

The injury is a recurrence of an old injury sustained last April in this game against the Cardinals:
Former Giants center fielder Andres Torres is headed to the Mets’ disabled list and back to the team’s spring training facility in Florida after reinjuring his left calf Thursday in a season-opening 1-0 win over the Braves in New York.
“I’m going to Port St. Lucie to begin rehabbing,” Torres said. “I’m going to see how I feel down there.”
The Mets have Friday off before resuming their series against the Braves on Saturday.
