Ravens Draft

Browns fail to acquire a QB with their first two picks and trade back into the first in order to draft Weeden. Ravens get the Browns 2nd and 4th for their 29th pick.

Ravens Picks:

2nd 36 Kevin Zeitler OG Wis. Zeitler should be available here. Well coached and very experienced guard who could possibly start before the season ends. (2011, led the nation in knock downs)

2nd 61 Mychal Kendrick ILB Cal 5/11 240 Mychal ran a 4.47 forty and he looks fast on the field. He performed well in all of the combine drills, and was also productive on the field. I believe he can also play OLB. ( Red Flag) On two occasions, Mychal was disciplined for breaking team rules.

3rd 93 Trumaine Johnson CB/S Montana Trumaine has good size 6/2 204 and performed well in the drills. In 2011, he had 54 T, 6TFL and 2 interceptions. (15 career interceptions). Ravens explore possiblity of playing Trumaine at safety

4th 100 Greg Childs WR Arkansas 6/3 219 Greg was well on his way to a first or second round pick when he tore his petalla. He came back and played in 2011. He did not put up very impressive numbers in 2011. Greg had a very strong Cotton Bowl game, followed by a strong East/West Shrine game. He had a OK combine but a month later he had a great proDay. 40 = 4.39, 36.5 vertical, 10-5 broad jump, and big soft hands (10 1/8 inch). He is now 100% and should be a fit for the Ravens.

4th Comp. Brandon Boykin CB/Returner Ga. 5/9 182 Had good production at 55 T 11 TFL 9 PBU 3 Int. and very good production as a returner. Averaged 22 yd per kick return and 13 yds per punt return.

5th Robert Turbin RB Utah State 5/10 222 40=4.41 bench 28, Broad 10-2 Production 2011-- 1296 yds/ 13 TDs Robert is a big, strong, fast running back. Robert can catch and reportedly blocks well in pass protection. ( It is being reported that the Ravens have had Isiah Pead in for a workout, Isiah return kicks as well as being a productive runner. Isiah may be a better fit')

5th Comp. David Molk C 6/1 298 Mel Kiper has told the world, David is the only C, other than Konz, worthy of drafting. David is not big, but has big time upper body strength. benched 225 lbs. 41 times.

6th Case Keenum QB Houston 6/1 205 No need to list his production numbers. He is an under sized QB whose arm is not strong. He can throw the short ball and has a very quick release. He played a lot in college and may make it as a third qb.

7th Hebron Fangupo NT BYU 6/1 325 This is a guy MaLor featured in a draft last week. Ravens have lost their reserve NT. Hebron looked good in his highlight clip and back up NT for sure is now a need. Hebron will be 27 when the season starts.
