The Clippers will try to make it a series against the Spurs in Game 3 at the Staples Center on Saturday afternoon.
The Los Angeles Clippers return home on Saturday afternoon, leading off a day-night doubleheader of NBA basketball at Staples Center. Trailing 2-0 against the Spurs, the Clippers will try to make it a series and avoid an all-but-insurmountable hole against the No. 1 seed. The Spurs have been deadly efficient throughout the series, overwhelming the Clips in two games whose outcomes seemed to have little doubt. It may be out of their hands at this point, as it will take a slew of Spurs mistakes for Chris Paul and company to even things up.
Few are predicting either LA team will advance, and the Spurs have an opportunity to finish off the Clips early and enjoy some extended rest before the start of the Western Conference finals. Chris Paul is certainly capable of injecting life into any series, and Gregg Popovich will have his team ready to avoid giving the Clippers hope.
Tip is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET with the Lakers getting the 10:30 p.m. spot. The game will be broadcast on ABC.
