The New York Jets are wasting no time getting the speedy, long armed wide receiver from Georgia Tech on the roster. Today they signed the rookie to a four year deal worth 5 million dollars. Even with the new CBA, it is better to get your draft picks locked up early, especially if you have big plans for them. Obviously, the Jets envision the 6'5, 206 pound wide out as a big time playmaker in their offensive scheme. Last year's 43rd pick Kyle Rudolph received 3.91 million over four years. Hill will receive almost that much in guaranteed money, as he was given 2.8 million. Hill is still a little green because Georgia Tech really never used him besides deep routes. Hill is drawing comparisions to Calvin Johnson, but he is going to have be able to do a lot more to get the comparisions of CJ from me.
Editor's Note: Yesterday, Alshon Jeffrey signed his rookie deal, so this would be the second player to sign his deal. Jeffrey also signed a 4 year deal.
