The Boston Celtics return home for Game 3 on Friday evening after their thrilling Game 2 win to even their first round series with the Hawks. With Rajon Rondo suspended, Paul Pierce carried the Celtics in one of the most productive playoff performances in franchise history, filling it up with 36 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. The Celtics will get Rondo back for Game 3 and are primed to take control of the series this weekend at home.
While Rondo's return is certain, Ray Allen's status is still up in the air. Allen is dealing with a sore right ankle, which he's already stated will require surgery to remove bone spurs after the season. Allen did go through a full practice on Thursday, improving his chances of joining the Celtics for Game 3 but he will likely be a game-time decision again. Schedule and broadcast information for Game 3 below:
Game Date/Time: Friday, 7:30 p.m. ET
Venue: TD Garden, Boston, Ma.
