You'd think LSU fans would be upset after falling to Stony Brook and losing a trip to Omaha for the College World Series. You'd think they'd be bitter, perhaps grumbling on their way to the exits. You'd think wrong.
The opposite happened. Stony Brook has been somewhat of a Cinderella story in the NCAA Tournament, and instead of simply wallowing in pity, LSU fans were incredibly classy in defeat. As the game ended, they stood and cheered, either for their own team, Stony Brook, or both.
And if that wasn't enough, fans began to personally congratulate Stony Brook, handing out high-fives and dap after the game ended.
Well done, LSU fans. And the same to Stony Brook, whose run to the College World Series has been incredibly fun to track. Besides, how can you not root for a team named the Stony Brook Seawolves?
