Beach balls and baseball: Like two peas in a pod. Every once in a while, a stray beach ball will make its way onto the field, an intruder violating the sanctity of the game. Even rarer is the renegade swarm of beach balls, a coordinated attack that strikes at the heart of the sport.
This, friends, was one of those attacks. A mass of beach balls was set free on the pure field in Omaha during the College World Series. They were everywhere, in all shapes and sizes.
And in the midst of the attack stood one beach ball troll, towering above the rest. Armed with beach ball attached to a string, he tried to get the grounds crew to take the bait. But no. Not this grounds crew. Not these professionals.
A master troll thwarted by a wry man who's seen his share of stray beach balls. But good try, overly excited beach ball trollin' bros.
