Jim Thome Returns From Back Injury

It's been a rough season for the Philadelphia Philles for a few reasons. Injuries are the biggest reasons, of course. But even before the season started, they knew they were going to be dealing with an injury to Ryan Howard. So they signed Jim Thome, and they even played him at first a little. Then he got hurt. But Thome's back. That can be a complete sentence, or it can be just a clause that's missing the rest of the sentence. Here, it's just a sentence. He's back from his back.

Thome only had 18 at-bats before the back injury, and he had only two hits. He's also 41, so it's probably not a great idea to assume he'll come riding a white horse and save the Phillies' offense. But he can't hurt it, brothers and sisters. He can't hurt it.
