Pacquiao Vs. Bradley: Team Pacquiao Confident Ahead Of Stiff Test

Stay connected with SB Nation

There's not many people who think that Tim Bradley is any sort of pushover for Manny Pacquiao ahead of Saturday night's HBO PPV main event bout between the two men. Bradley is undefeated for a reason, and his youth and style should present a stiff test for the great Pacquiao.

Still, Pacquiao will walk to the ring as a considerable favorite for a reason. He has the resume and skills to beat any man at or near his weight, and would be favored to do so against any man without the last name "Mayweather."

Team Pacquiao knows this and their confidence levels when speaking publicly about the fight reflect it.

After Bradley brought a large ticket to the rematch (there's a rematch clause should Tim beat Manny), Pacquiao's trainer, Freddie Roach, wasn't exactly quiet in his confidence, as seen in this quote from Boxing Scene:

"I just wonder how much money they wasted on those tickets," Roach told Toprank.com after the press conference, during which Bradley gave the fake front-row ticket to his wife, Monica. "It's foolish. His mean look at Manny, like all his like drama, we're going to kick his ass."

As for Manny? He is similarly confident, but maybe a bit more humble:

"It's my power. It comes from God. It's my speed. I'm faster than him."

...

"I know Tim is hungry and I know his feeling. But I trained (for this fight) like I'm 26 years old. I kept pushing and pushing,"

We'll have much more on the fight here over the coming days, including full fight previews, predictions and round-by-round updates when the action takes place.
