This Week In GIFs Results: 'Russian Reporter' Wins Closest Vote Ever

Dang. Our 10th week of THIS WEEK IN GIFs proved to be our closest yet. Due to special circumstances, there were only eight GIFs on the ballot, but what the field lacked in quantity, it more than compensated for in quality. Three of the GIFs, in fact, were locked in a mortal struggle to determine the champion, and at the end, winning by a mere 18 votes, there stood alone ...

Personally speaking, my ability to enjoy this GIF hinges upon how much damage was done to this young man's person, and I'm happy to report that, miraculously, he sustained nothing more severe than a concussion and ought to be fine. So there we have it. Whee!

The two GIFs that gave it a run for its money were a) the GIF of the baseball smashing the camera, which I frankly did not think was especially great, and b) the GIF of a lightning bolt sending players scattering during a baseball game, which certainly was great. This GIF held off strong competition and is certainly deserving of victory.
