Russell Wilson Throws His First NFL TD, His Wife Is Really Excited

Russell Wilson, the little quarterback that could, threw a 39-yard touchdown pass to Braylon Edwards in the third quarter of Seattle's game with the Tennessee Titans.

His wife was just as excited for the occasion as she was during the draft.

All kidding aside, Wilson has played a sharp game for Seattle. Halfway through the third quarter, Wilson has connected on all four of his passes for 71 yards and the touchdown to Braylon Edwards that gave us the opportunity to reintroduce ourselves to one of the most inspiring characters from the 2012 NFL Draft.

Wilson is making his case for the starting quarterback job. Matt Flynn, who started the game against the Titans, was 11-for-13 with an interception. He played a pretty conservative game, totaling just 71 yards on those 11 passes. With all due respect to the other quarterback battle in the NFC West, Russell versus Flynn could be one of the more interesting stories to watch during the preseason.

Brandon Browner Welcomes Matt Hasselbeck Back To Seattle

Welcome back to Seattle, Matt Hasselbeck. Visiting his long-time professional football home, the Tennessee TItans quarterback threw a pass to Nate Washington. Brandon Browner made the pick and ran it in for a touchdown, putting Seattle on the board.

Browner had six interceptions last season during his breakout rookie year, scoring two touchdowns as part of a surprise Seattle secondary. He was playing in Canada from 2006 through 2010 before being pulled into the NFL by the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent.

Hasselbeck played in Seattle from 2001 through 2010, helping the team get to a Super Bowl. He completed 319 passes for 3,571 yards, 18 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. He and second-year quarterback Jake Locker, a first-round pick, are locked in a quarterback battle this preseason. Hasselbeck has one completion on the night so far.

Derek Anderson Knows This Is The Preseason

No, no, no, no. You can't play Derek Anderson like that. He's been around way too long and it isn't even worth it. He's not out here trying to get planted in the preseason.

That, friends, is a savvy veteran move. "Nope. Not today, y'all."

VIDEO: Trindon Holliday Is Real Fast

Say, friends, let's all watch Trindon Holliday turn on the jets and burn everyone for a kick return touchdown, shall we? Yes. Yes we shall.

And let's see that again, in video form.

Yeah, that's some serious speed. Pretty nice to have that weapon returning kicks.
