This season's Monday Night Football schedule begins with Carson Palmer and the Oakland Raiders hosting first-round pick Morris Claiborne and the Dallas Cowboys.

Monday Night Football has been out of sports fans lives for seemingly way too long, but the national institution will return Monday night as the Dallas Cowboys take on the Oakland Raiders to conclude the first full week of NFL preseason football.

The Raiders didn't have a first-round pick in this year's draft due to the trade for Carson Palmer and, as such, a lot of eyes will likely be on the quarterback matchup as he takes on Tony Romo for what will likely be a quarter of first-string action. Cowboys fans will also likely be hoping to get their first good look at No. 5 pick Morris Claiborne.

Oh, and for those out there watching this game because there's money on the line, the latest NFL odds indicate that the homefield Raiders are slight 1.5-point favorites.

Game Date/Time: Monday, Aug. 13; 8 p.m. ET

Location: Coliseum; Oakland, Calif.

National: ESPN
