Top-level English football has returned after a nearly three-month layoff with the Community Shield, and Manchester City are playing a back three with Pablo Zabaleta as a central defender. James Milner is a wing back. Okay! This is an odd decision against Chelsea's 4-2-3-1 with Fernando Torres up top.
Speaking of Torres, it would be nice to see him get his season off to a good start, wouldn't it? Perhaps that Golden Boot at Euro 2012 (*snicker*) will provide him with a bit of a confidence boost. He used to be really fun. I miss when he was fun. He's not fun anymore.
Also, David Luiz's hair looks especially beautiful today.
