Plaxico Burress is visiting and working out with the New England Patriots on Sunday, according to ESPN.com. Burress has been a growing topic of discussion lately after it was reported, then refuted, last week the Dallas Cowboys were interested in the wide receiver. The Pats appear to have legitimate interest.

The Patriots have taken on Randy Moss and Chad Johnson in the past despite the reputations that preceded them. Burress, of course, was sentenced to two years in jail on charges stemming from an incident in which he accidentally shot himself in his own thigh at a nightclub in 2008.
He came back strong last season, however, catching 45 passes for 612 yards and eight touchdowns for the New York Jets.
