Robert Lewandowski pulled a goal back for Borussia Dortmund in the 75th minute. After missing a sure goal with Manuel Neuer beaten, Lewandowski left no doubt this time curling a shot around the goalkeeper's outstretched hands.
Both Neuer and Roman Weidenfeller have come up big in this half with goal saving stops. Neuer made a diving save to his left on a Lewandowski header from a Kevin Grosskreutz corner kick. Weidenfeller was called upon to save an Arjen Robben shot that seemed destined for the bottom corner.
Mario Götze and Ivan Perisic were subbed on for Moritz Leitner and Grosskreutz, and the complexion of the match changed almost instantly. Bayern had been in control for a majority of the match, but the late appearance by the two attacking midfielders has turned the tide slightly.
It will be interesting to see if BVB can find another goal in this match. While both sides want a trophy to begin their season, I'm not convinced either want to go to extra time.
