MLS 2012, Midweek 22 Preview And Matches: Let's Play, Internationals Be Damned

MLS scheduled a bunch of matches against an international date, including USA vs. Mexico. That's ... special.

Wednesday is an international date that includes the United States playing Mexico, but MLS doesn't care. They are going to play three matches anyways so make your choice -- internationals or MLS.

Columbus Crew vs. LA Galaxy

Wednesday, 7:00 p.m. ET, NBC Sports Network

One hour after this match starts on one of the league's national TV partners, the U.S. and Mexico will start their qualifier on another one of the league's national TV partners. This sounds like good scheduling and planning.

Pick: Draw, 1-1.

Toronto FC vs. Portland Timbers

Wednesday, 7:30 p.m. ET, MLS Live

So this is a thing. Why?

Pick: Hm?

Vancouver Whitecaps vs. FC Dallas

Wednesday, 10:00 p.m. ET, MLS Live

The Whitecaps just keep ticking along, which is fake or something. You just don't trade away as many players as they did midseason and keep winning. Apparently rules don't apply in British Columbia.

Pick: Vancouver, 2-0.
