Jeff Driskel Shoulder Injury 'Significant,' Could End Quarterback Duel

How hard was potential Florida Gators starting quarterback Jeff Driskel injured during Tuesday practices? The world waits to learn, but reports are getting more definitive that it's looking bad for Jacoby Brissett's primary competition. From veteran reporter Robbie Andreu:

Driskel sustained a "significant" shoulder injury in practice this morning, according to a source close to the UF football team. The injury is to his left, non-throwing shoulder.

Apparently Driskel took a hard “thud” and is now sidelined for an indefinite period of time.

But then there's this report from FOX Sports, which aligns with the camp saying Driskel should be okay soon.

Still, with the race as tight as it has been (and Brissett being the favorite all along, according to many), even the slightest setback could tip the scales. Scales, like an alligator.
