The United States heads to Estadio Azteca for a clash with Mexico and another edition of CONCACAF's best rivalry.

Is the United States vs. Mexico rivalry still must-watch TV? Probably not.

In the 2000's it was heresy to miss a match between the two countries. They did not like each other, the matches were chippy, the fans were always intense and rarely was there not a good match. There was also the battle for the top spot in CONCACAF, adding stakes to every match between the two.

Now there is no doubt who the top team in CONCACAF is. Mexico looked like the better team after the 2010 World Cup and they made an emphatic statement that they were tops in the region when they thumped the U.S., 4-2, in last year's Gold Cup final.

Ever since then, it has basically been a parade of honors for Mexico at all age groups. They won the U-17 World Cup, took third place at the U-20 World Cup and won Olympic gold. They have proven themselves at all ages, putting a scare into the rest of CONCACAF that they aren't just the best team in the region right now, but they will be for years to come.

Now the U.S. heads to Estadio Azteca and for what? To get experience and grow, sure, but the result doesn't mean much. The Americans could win 10-0 and it wouldn't change the fact that El Tri are the best team in the region. Must-watch TV? Nope.

Still, the match is worth tuning into. The Jurgen Klinsmann makeover of the U.S. team continues and anytime you can watch Andres Guardado and Pablo Barrera out wide with Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez up top, you could get fireworks.

And then there is the atmosphere of Azteca. That alone is worth watch. More than 100,000 people watching the two best teams in the region? Yeah, that is still pretty good.
