Denver Broncos defensive end Jason Hunter is out at least two months with at triceps tear.
Denver Broncos defensive end Jason Hunter tore his triceps during the Denver Broncos' training camp practice on Tuesday and will miss two months, according to Mike Klis of the Denver Post. The report says it could potentially end his season.
It could be a big blow to Hunter's development, as the 28-year-old had appeared to have finally earned a starting job after supplanting Robert Ayers atop the team's depth chart. He has started a combined 14 games the past two seasons for Denver.
Tuesday's practice was costly for the Broncos. The team also lost offensive lineman Chris Kuper for six weeks to a broken forearm. Running back Ronnie Hillman also tweaked his hamstring during the session.
Ayers or second-round pick Derek Wolfe will likely battle for Hunter's spot atop the depth chart.
