Germany are down to 10 men at halftime of their friendly against Argentina, but they've actually looked their best in the time that they've been shorthanded. They conceded a goal between the sending off and the end of the half, though it had very little do with a man advantage for Argentina. The Albiceleste's goal was an own goal, scored by Sami Khedira just before the half, and they lead 1-0.
The red was given to Germany goalkeeper Ron-Robert Ziegler, who took down Angel di Maria in the penalty area in the 30th minute. Marc-Andre ter Stegen replaced Thomas Müller and with his first action, made an impressive penalty save on Lionel Messi.
Germany looked very lively after that and had a couple of half chances before conceding. The goal came on a corner kick, which deflected off Khedira before floating past a stunned ter Stegen, who did not anticipate the deflection at all.
