Stay connected with SB Nation

The New York Times' David B. Halbfinger has a fascinating story on Jay-Z's stewardship of the Brooklyn Nets brand. It's well worth a read. But this bit is well worth a laugh.

[Jay-Z] counseled arena executives on what kind of music to play during games. ("Less Jersey," he urged, pushing niche artists like Santigold over old favorites like Bon Jovi.)

I knew I liked this Jay-Z guy.
