Miami Dolphins first-round draft pick Ryan Tannehill will start at quarterback for the Dolphins in Friday night's preseason game against the Carolina Panthers.

Ryan Tannehill, the one quarterback drafted in the first round with the least experience at the position, will apparently start for the Miami Dolphins in their preseason game against the Carolina Panthers on Friday night, according to broadcaster Dick Stockton.

Ryan Tannehill played all of the second half against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Dolphins' preseason opener last week. In that game, Tannehill went 14-for-21 passing for 167 yards and a touchdown. Friday's game will be his first opportunity against a first team defense.

Miami's game against the Panthers is scheduled for an 8 p.m. ET kick off from Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C. Here is all the television and radio information about the game.
