The Dallas Cowboys look to improve on their preseason opener when they face the San Diego Chargers.
The Dallas Cowboys look to continue winning in the preseason, they just hope to look a little better on the field when they face the San Diego Chargers at Qualcomm Stadium.
After the Cowboys won a sloppy preseason opener in Oakland, 3-0 they went back to work in training camp with a few things to work on. Quarterback Tony Romo saw limited action, playing just three series against the Raiders in which he guided his team to just one first down and only 22 yards of offense in 11 plays. Romo should be on the field for more plays against the Chargers as the starting offense looks to have a much better showing the second time around.
Special teams will be a focus for improvement as well for Dallas after a pair of penalties on two Oakland punt plays, kept the ball away from the Cowboys and extended the drives for the Raiders.
The Chargers are also 1-0 in the preseason after starting strong with a 21-13 win over the Green Bay Packers. Starting QB Philip Rivers was completed 3 of 5 passes in his limited time which included a touchdown to tight end Antonio Gates.
