Chris Rainey has been an exciting player since his early days at Florida, and he's extending that to his NFL career. A week after a catch-and-run for a touchdown, Rainey figured in two exciting moments during the first quarter of the Steelers' preseason game against the Colts.
First, Rainey, being Rainey, runs headlong into a big ol' hit from a defender:
Though that hit by Jerraud Powers and the snapping back won't surprise many Gators fans who watched Rainey take hits like this at Florida, it was a serious enough collision for Rainey to fumble, and to be evaluated for a concussion.
After being cleared, he returned to the field, where he made an easy reception on a flat route a difficult reception on a flat route by tipping the ball to himself.
The notoriously loquacious Rainey will likely have something to say about these plays after the game.
