Both Barcelona and Real Madrid have some notable omissions from their lineups for the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup. First choice left back Jordi Alba is sitting out for Barcelona, as is central defender Carles Puyol. Adriano and Javier Mascherano play in their places. Real Madrid have dropped Gonzalo Higuain and Angel Di Maria, and they're replaced by Karim Benzema and Jose Maria Callejon. Pepe is out injured and Raul Albiol takes his place in the center of defense for Los Blancos.
Barcelona Lineup (4-3-3): Victor Valdes; Adriano, Gerard Pique, Javier Mascherano, Daniel Alves; Sergio Busquets, Xavi Hernandez, Andres Iniesta; Alexis Sanchez, Lionel Messi, Pedro Rodriguez
Real Madrid Lineup (4-2-3-1): Iker Casillas; Fabio Coentrao, Raul Albiol, Sergio Ramos, Alvaro Arbeloa; Xabi Alonso, Sami Khedira; Cristiano Ronaldo, Mesut Özil, Jose Maria Callejon; Karim Benzema
