Barcelona Vs. Real Madrid, 2012 Spanish Super Cup: Raul Albiol Is A Lucky Boy

Stay connected with SB Nation

I don't know why Raul Albiol is still on the pitch, because the Real Madrid centre back should be off after a very late tackle on Pedro. Albiol was already on a yellow card thanks to either mistaken identity or something that nobody really saw, but he should definitely have been shown another one for this:

Maybe he was trying to retroactively earn it? Either way, Albiol remains on one yellow.

Meanwhile, Barcelona are doing the lion's share of the attacking at the moment, and Real Madrid are having to spend far too much of their time packed into their penalty box for comfort. Lionel Messi's giving them real problems at the moment (surprise!), and they're lucky that the Argentine hasn't scored yet. This time he skips free of a gaggle of white shirts at the top of the box only to fire just wide of Iker Casillas' left post.
