New England running backs Shane Vereen and Spencer Larsen left Friday's game with injuries.

New England Patriots running back Shane Vereen left Friday's preseason game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the second quarter with a foot injury, reports Nick Underhill of Mass Live via Twitter.

Vereen had two carries for negative three yards when he left the game and is slated to be the Patriots starting running back. Underhill also reports that Patriots fullback Spencer Larsen injured his knee in the game. Both returns are questionable.

Larsen, New England's starting fullback, was replaced by backup Eric Kettani. Vereen is listed third on New England's running back depth chart behind Stevan Ridley and Danny Woodhead.
