The Buffalo Bills and Detroit Lions will close out the 2012 NFL preseason hoping to reverse a series of disappointing results. Buffalo enters with a winless record so far while Detroit is 1-2 having won in Week 2 at Baltimore.
For Detroit, several players have a final chance to earn a roster spot after a poor Week 3:
Carson Palmer and Terrelle Pryor both torched the Lions. Together, they combined to go 20-of-31 for 318 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. A big part of the Lions' problem was that Bill Bentley and Chris Houston got hurt, but the bigger issue was how many long passes the Lions' secondary surrendered in this game. It was concerning, to say the least.
Jackson, 29, was a second-round draft pick of the Minnesota Vikings in the 2006 NFL Draft. In his six-plus years in the league, Jackson has appeared in 51 games, starting 34 of them, completing 59.4 percent of his passes for 7,075 yards (6.7 yards per attempt) with 38 touchdowns, 35 interceptions and a quarterback rating of 77.7. He is 17-17 as a starter.
