Giulio Migliaccio has traded in his bright pink Palermo kit for the soothing tones of the Viola -- for a season, at least. The midfielder, who spent five seasons with the rosanero, made no secret of wanting away from the club, which has been in a downward spiral over the past couple years. Migliaccio had been linked with Sampdoria, but it seems he prefers the fortunes of Fiorentina, who, after just one match, are tipped to go far under Vincenzo Montella.
The Italian midfielder was a regular at Palermo last season, playing 31 matches, 30 of them as a starter. He even stepped up in Palermo's first match this season, coming in on 30 minutes when Franco Brienza went down with injury. But the 3-0 loss to Napoli must have further cemented Migliaccio's thoughts about leaving Sicily.
Now, it will be interesting to see if he lands a starting role in Montella's Fiorentina.
