Robert Griffin III and the Washington Redskins will make their 2012 NFL debut with a preseason game against the Buffalo Bills on Thursday night.
The Washington Redskins will open their preseason schedule on Thursday night against the Buffalo Bills. The game, among other things, will mark the NFL debut of Robert Griffin III. The rookie quarterback is only expected to receive a maximum of 20 snaps under center, but it should be worth tuning in regardless of how each team finished last season.
The Bills ended last year with a disappointing 6-10 record and first round pick Stephon Gilmore likely won't make a huge impact in the preseason, though he could cause some problems for Griffin. Meanwhile, the Redskins are looking to rebound from a 5-11 record of their own. It's a new year, though, with each team's fanbase looking to find new hope with the new season.
The majority of those tuning in to watch this game will be aware that wins and losses don't really matter in the preseason, but the betting fiends among us will likely be interested in knowing that Washington opened the week as 2.5-point favorites heading into the first week of (preseason) football.
