South Florida coach Skip Holtz confirmed via Twitter junior wide receiver Sterling Griffin will miss the 2012 season due to a knee injury.
Griffin injured his right knee during South Florida's 32-31 win over Nevada Saturday. Griffin watched the second half on crutches as teammate Andre Davis caught a school-record 12 passes, including a game-winning 56-yard touchdown with 38 seconds left in the game.

In 23 career games for the Bulls, he has 59 catches for 837 yards and six touchdowns.
