The Rutgers Scarlet Knights will square off on Thursday night against the South Florida Bulls in a nationally televised Big East showdown in Raymond James Stadium.
Rutgers comes in following a 26-0 beating of the Howard Bison at home, after defeating the Tulane Green Wave in New Orleans in the season opener. The Scarlet Knights were dominant throughout the contest against the FCS Bison, allowing just 8 rushing yards in the first half.
On offense, running back Jawan Jamison was terrific. The junior picked up 110 yards on just 10 attempts to help lead the way with an inconsistent passing game complementing him.
South Florida is also undefeated with a record of 2-0. The Bulls narrowly escaped in a game against the Nevada Wolf Pack last Saturday, winning 32-31. Senior quarterback B.J. Daniels lit up Nevada's defense, throwing for 363 yards and three touchdowns. On the ground, Lindsey Lamar rushed for 85 yards on just eight carries to accompany a touchdown.
