Fatal Shooting Outside Royals' Kauffman Stadium

Friday afternoon, just a few hours before the Kansas City Royals were scheduled to host the first game of a series against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, there was a fatal shooting at one of Kauffman Stadium's parking lots.

Piecing together the tweets from The Kansas City Star's Bob Dutton, it seems that the fatality was a man in his 40s who committed suicide; and that before shooting himself, that man shot and wounded a Kauffman Stadium parking attendant, a woman in her 40s.

The Kansas City Police Department cordoned off the crime scene, but motorists were diverted and Friday night's game was going ahead as scheduled.
