Paris Saint-Germain are going to win the Champions League! Well, maybe not, but there's certainly enough talent on this roster to make a run. Today begins PSG's attempt to prove their worth and that all the investment made by their new owners was for the better. Easier said than done.
Carlo Ancelotti has left Ezequiel Lavezzi, who was left out of PSG's league won over Tolouse last Friday, is on the bench. The usual attacking cerberus of Menez, Zlatan and Pastore starts up front. It's a fairly similar lineup to the last couple matches that has seen PSG begin to get on track after a bit of a rocky start to the season.
As for Dynamo Kiev, unless you're an aficionado of the Ukrainian league, you'll probably only recognize midfielder Niko Kranjcar formerly of Portsmouth and Tottenham.
Paris Saint-Germain (4-3-3): Salvatore Sirigu; Thiago Silva, Alex, Maxwell, Christophe Jallet; Blaise Matudi, Clement Chantome, Marco Veratti; Jeremy Menez, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Javior Pastore
Dynamo Kiev (4-4-2): Maxim Koval; Danilo, Taras Mikhalik, Taye Taiwo, Yevhen Khacheridi; Miguel Veloso, Andriy Yarmolenko, Denis Garmash, Niko Kranjcar; Ideye Brown, Raffael Araujo
