Oh hey Manchester City pull off a counterattack. Vincent Kompany plays brilliantly to rob Sami Khedira as the midfielder attempts to feed Angel di Maria out wide, and the centre half moves the ball upfield quickly. It eventually reaches Yaya Toure, who powers forward towards the Real Madrid line, which is rather at sixes and sevens. A big hole opens up for Samir Nasri's run, but the pass is slightly mishit and Iker Casillas can collect for what seems like his first touch of the match.
The hosts immediately retrieve the ball and go on the attack once more, although you'd hope that putting something approximating resistance together will encourage City to go forwards more. They've spent the first half hour looking like a herd of deer illuminated by some really powerful headlights, and that's a recipe for disaster. But it's still 0-0, which is good news for Roberto Mancini.
Oops, now Nasri's down hurt. Jinxed it.
