Alright, the changes are coming now that Manchester City have that vital goal. An annoyed Real Madrid pull both Gonzalo Higuain and Sami Khedira off the pitch for Karim Benzema and Luka Modric respectively, while Roberto Mancini looks to preserve his lead by pulling off Maicon and introducing Pablo Zabaleta. Madrid have a quarter of an hour left to find an equaliser.
But it's actually been City who look more likely to score. Real's defence, which has barely been tested, has been something approximating pants whenever the visitors do get the ball anywhere near them. Aleksandar Kolarov forced Iker Casillas into his first save of the game when teed up by Carlos Tevez, and then Yaya Toure hit the side netting a little later on.
And then... heartbreak for the citizens. Marcelo finally gets one of those long-range shots sort-of on target, and it's deflected beyond a despairing Joe Hart. That makes it 1-1, so we're back to square one here. Zabaleta nearly makes it 2-1 at the near post. This game is suddenly crazy.
