Two-time European champions Juventus have returned to the Champions League. They play Chelsea in the biggest game of Wednesday's slate.
There's nothing quite as enticing as Tuesday's Manchester City - Real Madrid clash during Wednesday's slate of matches, but there is one big game between teams that won major trophies last season. When the games kick off, most eyes will be on Stamford Bridge, where defending European champions Chelsea host Serie A winners Juventus, who return to the competition for the first time since their relegation to Serie B in 2006.
Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Manchester United all come up against decent teams as well, but they're all at home and are expected to take three points from their games. There doesn't look to be a lot of upset potential on the cards, unless anyone considers a Benfica win away to Celtic or a Cluj win away to Braga to be a significant upset. Expect a lot of home wins.
Schedule (all games at 2:45 p.m. ET)
Chelsea vs. Juventus
Shakhtar Donetsk vs. FC Nordsjaelland
Bayern Munich vs. Valencia
Lille vs. BATE Borisov
Barcelona vs. Spartak Moscow
Celtic vs. Benfica
Braga vs. CFR Cluj
Manchester United vs. Galatasaray
