The Grizzlies' top reserve big man might be out for at least a month with a broken leg.

The Grizzlies will be without forward Darrell Arthur for about a month due to an apparent leg injury, reports say.

Memphis radio personality Chris Vernon is reporting that Arthur will only be lost for a month, projecting that he would be ready in time for the start of the season.

The 24-year-old former Kansas Jayhawk, who averaged 9.1 points and 4.2 rebounds per game in 2011-12, is considered insurance for center Marc Gasol and forward Zach Randolph. Memphis had just traded Dante Cunningham to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the offseason, leaving fourth-year forward Marreese Speights as the Grizzlies' sole option on the bench if Arthur is lost for a significant amount of time.

There's been no official comment from Arthur or the team, but he did Tweet the following on Monday:

Arthur missed the entire 2011-12 season with a torn ACL.
