Florida State will be without defensive end Brandon Jenkins for the rest of the season, Bruce Feldman of CBS Sports reports.

Jenkins injured his left foot in the first of of FSU's game Saturday against Murray State. The injury was originally classified as a foot contusion. Feldman's report didn't indicate the exact type of injury.

The offseason process will now be critical for Jenkins. Unless he can get healthy in time for the Senior Bowl, his stock for the 2013 NFL Draft will be torpedoed. He was already a linebacker/end tweener, often overshadowed on his own team by end Bjoern Werner. Without Jenkins, look for FSU senior Cornelius "Tank" Carradine to ascend up draft boards.

Jenkins has had 21.5 sacks the past two seasons with eight in 2011. Jenkins was named a second-team preseason All-American this year by Sports Illustrated.
