Jets Pro Bowl wide receiver Santonio Holmes leaves game with an injured knee, and it doesn't look good.
Jets fans will be hoping for the best, although right now, it's not looking good for wide receiver Santonio Holmes. He injured his left knee after landing awkwardly on a reception against the 49ers this afternoon.
Manish Metha says it "looks bad". Holmes struggled to put weight on the leg after his injury, and he had to be carted off the field after the play happened.
Making matters worse, Holmes threw away the ball before he was blown down on the play. San Francisco cornerback Carlos Rogers picked up the ball and ran it in for a 51-yard touchdown amid the confusion. The replay official reviewed the play, but did not overturn the ruling.
The Jets are currently trainling San Francisco 27-0 as the clock counts down on the fourth quarter.
Holmes left the game with four catches for 29 yards. Stay tuned for status updates on Holmes' condition as the day continues.
