Tim Fuller-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire
With less than two minutes to go, the Lions were driving, but QB Matthew Stafford had to rely on replay to overturn critical fourth-quarter fumble ruling.
In a one-possession game, the Detroit Lions offense took the field with no timeouts and under two minutes to play against the Minnesota Vikings. QB Matthew Stafford eludes a sack, but coughs up the football on a play that was initially ruled a fumble on the field.
The play immediately went under review, and the officials ruled Stafford's butt hit the ground prior to the fumble, so the Lions maintained possession.
The Lions had two more shots at the end zone after that, but came up short on a Jared Allen sack to end the game. Vikings win 20-13.
