Expert picks for the Week 1 NFL matchup between the Minnesota Vikings and Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Minnesota Vikings and Jacksonville Jaguars are a pair of teams heading into the 2012-13 NFL season with plenty of question marks and doubts, so experts are split on who will take the head-to-head matchup in Week 1. Maurice Jones-Drew recently ended his lengthy holdout, but he will not start in the regular season opener. Meanwhile, the Vikings aren't quite sure if running back Adrian Peterson will be ready for Week 1.
The 14-member panel at ESPN.com shows a slight eight-to-six edge in favor of the Vikings, while six of the nine expert sources at CBSSports.com have sided with Jacksonville. At Yahoo!, Mike Silver thinks the Jags will win but Jason Cole and Les Carpenter have selected the Vikings to prevail. In other words, this game can probably be considered a toss-up.
