O.J. Mayo ties the game against the Thunder

The Thunder and the Mavericks are going to overtime because of a perfectly-executed play.

Rick Carlisle is a genius. The fact that he has a championship ring and oodles of wins are evidence enough, but look at this perfectly drawn-up play to get O.J. Mayo a look at a three-pointer before time ran out to send the Mavericks to overtime with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Vince Carter almost threw the inbounds pass over Shawn Marion's head, but Marion caught it and found the play's designed trigger-man, Mayo, right in the sweet spot. Mayo knocked down the shot, and the game is going into overtime.

(Sidenote: everyone who's staying up to watch the Manti Te'o news on SportsCenter is furious with both Carlisle and Mayo.)
