The Phoenix Coyotes will host the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday night, a season after a surprising run to the Western Conference Finals.

The Phoenix Coyotes will hope to rebound from a tough road loss as they host the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday night in the Coyotes home opener.

The Coyotes fell victim to Jaromir Jagr's Dallas Stars debut on Saturday night, as the hockey legend potted two goals and added two assists in the Stars' 4-3 win. The Coyotes took advantage of several costly penalties in the second period to yet made one too many mistakes as the Stars took the lead with just under seven minutes remaining in regulation.

Phoenix will be facing a Blackhawks team that dismantled the defending Cup champions on Saturday, beating the Los Angeles Kings 5-2 and spoiling the team's banner-raising home opener. Marian Hossa scored twice for Chicago with Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews also tallying goals, as the the Blackhawks took advantage of a sleepy Kings team to take a 4-0 lead and never looking back.

The Coyotes are hoping to build off a trip to the Western Conference Finals and find some momentum once more in Phoenix. Puck drops on Sunday night at 10 p.m. ET, with television coverage on NBC Sports Network.
