Hornqvist was locked up with Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf along the boards in the third period and favored his leg while skating off the ice. He did not return to the game.
The 25-year old winger was drafted last overall in the 2005 draft, scoring 30 goals in 80 games in his first full NHL season in 2009-2010. Hornqvist led the Predators with 27 goals last season and is now in the final year of a three-year, $9.25 million contract.
In 263 career games with Nashville, Hornqvist has 80 goals and 149 points.
The Predators have started the season 1-1-3, and are currently in the middle of a seven-game road trip, dropping the first two games against St. Louis and Anaheim. Nashville next travels to Phoenix to take on the Coyotes on Monday at 9 p.m. ET.
