Andray Blatche is not necessarily the smoothest athlete in the league. As indicated here, he's not necessarily the most aware either.
Andray Blatche isn't really up to speed on this whole "catching the ball" phenomenon. Maybe he thinks it's just a fad that will die out eventually.
Regardless, Blatche isn't going to participate in this activity. Instead, Blatche is much more into the concept of "letting the ball hit him directly in the face." It's a bold strategy, Andray.
