Webb Simpson got off to a quick start in the first round on Friday despite some difficult weather conditions.

Webb Simpson is in the lead of the Hyundai Tournament of Champions in Hawaii, which got underway on Friday. Simpson is three under par through the first seven holes, giving him a two-stroke advantage over second-place Jonas Blixt and a three-stroke lead over a group of players at even par.

The round has been stalled by rain on a couple of occasions and none of the golfers on the course have completed the first nine holes at this point. Several notables, including Bubba Watson and Dustin Johnson, have yet to tee off.
