The Crimson Tide is hoping for a healthy Barrett Jones come Monday night against Notre Dame.
The Alabama Crimson Tide and Notre Dame Fighting Irish are getting ready to battle in front of millions in the BCS National Championship Game on Monday night.
Barrett Jones appears ready to be part of the action, declaring himself '95 percent' healthy after injuring his left foot in the SEC title game, according to Stewart Mandel.
Jones has been a key cog in Nick Saban's machine over the past few years, playing a variety of positions at exceptionally high levels. Jones is now anchoring the line as a center next to the best guard in college football, Chance Warmack, on arguably the best line in the sport.
Of course, the line will be even more important against a team such as Notre Dame, who has a bevy of NFL-caliber players on its front line and a Heisman Trophy finalist in Manti Te'o behind them.
The Fighting Irish rank No. 1 in scoring defense, allowing a paltry 10.3 points per game.
